Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

  • 1/2 cup GOOD by Grove or Grove Avocado Extra Virgin Oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp  sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 vanilla pod or 1 tsp extract 
  • 1 cups 70% chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts 
  • Ice cream to serve


  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C and grease a 12-inch cast iron skillet with a drizzle of Grove Avocado Oil.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set the bowl aside. 
  3. Mix together the oil and sugars until incorporated. 
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, until mixed in, then add the vanilla and beat until combined. 
  5. Add the flour mixture into the bowl and mix until the dough comes together then add in the chocolate and nuts until combined. 
  6. Scrape the dough into the skillet, then sprinkle it with the sea salt. 
  7. Bake the cookie for 30 to 35 minutes until just cooked in the centre. 
  8. Remove it from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes before serving topped with ice cream.
